Gartner’s study shows a 9% decline in worldwide PC renders’ shipments in Q3 2023. 64.3 million units were shipped in Q3 2023. Lenovo maintains the number one spot with over 16 million shipments, a 25.1% market share. During this period, Apple shipped 6.2 million units with a 9.7 market share.

In the U.S. PC market declined by 9.3% during Q3 2023. HP and Dell dominated the US PC market with a combined 50% market share. During the same period, Apple delivered 2.8 million units and has a 16.7 market share in the US.

During Q3 2023, Lenovo started at $9.35 and closed at $7.93 on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. HPQ opened at $30.75 and closed at $25.70 on the NYSE, and AAPL opened at $192.46 and closed at $171.21 on the Nasdaq. The PC manufacturers’ stocks tanked in Q3 2023.
HPQ found its peak on April 4th, 2022. Since October 2023, it has been gaining strength. DELL found its peak in November 2022 ($73.08). AAPL’s peak in the last three years was on July 17, 2023 ($198.48). JSMA predicts AAPL will find the last three years’ highest in Q4 2023.
No IPO in computer manufacturing is expected in Q4 2023.
For over 225 years, NYSE has been the heart of the capital market. NYSE trades all the 8000 securities listed on all the US stock exchanges. Many tech corporations listed on the Nasdaq also trade on the NYSE. Over 530 large corps from around the world are also listed on NYSE.
The first rule of any technology used in a business is that automation applied to an efficient operation will magnify the efficiency. The second is that automation applied to an inefficient operation will magnify the inefficiency. All the leading computer manufaturers implement that witch enable to increase productivity and value.
Presently, the market values of the leading computer manufacturers are given below. Apple is getting close to becoming a $3 trillion company. Other manufacturers such as HP, DELL, Acer, and Asus won’t come any closer to Apple with their combined market cap of $480 billion. Q4 2023 could be the milestone for Apple to become a $3 trillion corporation. Today, there are only seven countries whose GDP is greater than $3 trillion!
